Inc., The Simulation Learning Company, announced that
Professor Thomas C. Reeves of the University of Georgia
has joined its advisory board. Professor Reeves is known
worldwide as a leader in the theory and practice of
instructional technology. He joins an advisory board
that includes a member of the World Economic Forum and
a co-founder of the leading Internet payments service,
PayPal.

joining 3Dsolves advisory board, said Professor
Reeves. Their vision of simulation learning and
the crucial role it will play in the future of education
at all levels is perfectly aligned with the research
and practice Ive conducted over the last 25 years.

Since receiving his Ph.D. at Syracuse
University in 1979, Professor Reeves has developed and
evaluated numerous interactive learning programs for
education and training. In addition to more than 100
presentations and workshops in the USA, he has been
an invited speaker in other countries including Australia,
Brazil, Bulgaria, China, England, Finland, the Netherlands,
New Zealand, Peru, Portugal, Russia, South Africa, Singapore,
Sweden, Switzerland, and Taiwan. He is a former Fulbright
Lecturer, and a former editor of The Journal of Interactive
Learning Research. His research interests include: evaluation
of instructional technology for education and training,
mental models and interactive multimedia, electronic
performance support systems, multimedia user interface
issues, and instructional technology in developing countries.
Professor Reeves is a co-founder of the Learning and
Performance Support Lab (LPSL) at the University of
Georgia, where his teaching areas include program evaluation,
instructional design, and research courses. In 2003,
he was selected as the first recipient of the AACE Fellows
Award from the Association for the Advancement of Computing
in Education.
