Seasoned 3D Graphics Team Leader to Head Up 3Dsolve’s Simulation Learning Product Development

Cary, NC, July 27, 2004 — 3Dsolve Inc., The Simulation Learning Company, announced today that Christophe Madier has joined the company as vice president of research and development. Madier has deep expertise in the computer graphics industry, having spent more than a decade working with both large corporations and smaller startups. He has built and managed teams and products dedicated to scientific and industrial simulation, visualization, special effects, and character animation. Madier will lead 3Dsolve’s product development activities as the company develops simulation learning solutions for government, military, and corporate customers.

“I am thrilled to join 3Dsolve, a company that I believe is on track to become the leader in the fast-growing simulation learning industry,” said Madier. “I look forward to working with this talented team and leveraging my knowledge of 3D technologies to develop advanced applications that will dramatically enhance the learning experience in the simulation market.”

Madier has over 13 years’ experience in software engineering, with a particular focus on advanced 3D modeling and rendering systems. Prior to joining 3Dsolve, he served as senior software development manager at Discreet, a division of Autodesk, where he managed two teams of engineers responsible for the core modeling and animation capabilities of Discreet’s flagship product, 3ds max. Prior to Discreet, Madier was director of engineering at Animation Science Corporation, where he oversaw the company’s engineering team, developing tools based on particle system technologies. He has also served as a software engineer at ArSciMed, the headquarters of the French Army, and Hewlett Packard. Madier holds a BS in Electronics & Computer Science and an MS in Computer Science with Highest Honors, both from the University of Paris.

“Madier has amazing experience in this industry, and we’re fortunate to have him join 3Dsolve,” said Richard Boyd, CEO of 3Dsolve. “Our goal is to leverage the unprecedented expertise of the entire 3Dsolve team to continue developing cutting-edge simulation learning solutions for the military and a variety of other industries.”
