3Dsolve Inc. Wins Military Training
Technologys Top 100 Award for the Fourth Year
in a Row
CARY, N.C. (November 16, 2006)
3Dsolve Inc., The Simulation Learning Company, announced
today that for the fourth consecutive year it has been
named to the Military Training Technologys
(MT2) Top 100 list of military training vendors. 3Dsolve
also received a blue ribbon for leadership in innovation
for the third year in a row.
The MT2 Top 100, from Kerrigan Media International
and Military Training Technology, is a listing
of companies that have made a significant impact in
the military training industry this fiscal yearwhether
in live, virtual or constructive simulation, training
or education. Winners were selected based on various
criteria, which, in part, included total military sales,
end-user feedback, innovations and need for the solution.
Since receiving its first MT2 Top 100
award in 2003, 3Dsolve has continued to build momentum
as the leading provider of simulation-based training
for the US military. The company has recently announced
progress on six large projects:
- 3Dsolve has been selected to advise
the SCORM-S1000D Testbed project, sponsored by Advanced
Distributed Learning (ADL) Job Performance Center.
3Dsolve will provide advice and assistance to the
SCORM-S1000D Testbed team, led by prime contractor
Intelligent Automation, Inc. (IAI).
- 3Dsolve is part of a team that has
won a $483 million contract awarded by the US Army
Training and Doctrine Command (TRADOC), the Distributed
Learning, Education and Training Products (DLETP)
program. Under the contract, 3Dsolve will work with
a team of product and service providers assembled
by prime contractor Karta Technologies to provide
high-quality, state-of-the-art distributed e-learning
for soldiers worldwide.
- 3Dsolve has developed an innovative
3D data visualization tool, Operational Views in 3D
(OV3D), which enables the US Army to create scenarios
illustrating communications networks in a modern battlespace
environment.
- 3Dsolve is a member of the USfalcon
team that was awarded a portion of a $19.25 billion
contract to support the Strategic Services Sourcing
(S3) Initiative sponsored by the Department of the
Armys Communications Electronics Life Cycle
Management Command (CE LCMC). The $19.25 billion contract
will be divided among seven teams over a span of five
years (with an additional five-year option if exercised).
- 3Dsolve, working in partnership with
Discovery Machine Inc., has successfully completed
a research project to combine an adaptive knowledge
system engine with its simulation learning technology.
The resulting high-fidelity simulations will make
for more powerful simulation learning solutions for
both military and commercial customers.
- 3Dsolve has been selected to contribute
to the Americas Army Game Projectmore
than a dozen government organizations and private
software firms working together to create authentic
military training and deployment simulation scenarios.
We are thrilled to be recognized
by Military Training Technology for the fourth
consecutive year, said Richard Boyd, chief executive
officer of 3Dsolve. This honor is a powerful endorsement
